Commissioned as an anniversary gift by my best friend Michael for his partner, this piece offers a warm, nostalgic peek into their very first date at a favourite Melbourne hot pot and ramen spot. To add a clever layer of personal storytelling, the table stand in the centre displays "6" and "4"—doubling as their 6th of April anniversary date and a nod to classic restaurant table numbers. A vibrant, narrative scene full of personal memory, rich colour, and bustling atmosphere.
