Hi, I’m Martha

I’m a proud Scottish acrylic painter who always wanted to figure out a way to paint for a living. I’ve spent my life chasing the kind of setup where doing what I love every day could actually be my reality.

My path wasn't exactly traditional. I realized pretty early on that sitting in a quiet college art class wasn't for me, so I took a leap to find real-world experience. I knew I loved the honest expression of painting, and I knew I needed it in my life.

That drive led me all the way to Australia, where I had the privilege of working as a lead artist and instructor for the top paint and sip company in Melbourne. There, not only did I grow as an artist, but I discovered something just as important: I absolutely love teaching and connecting with people — and — I was good at it! Sharing my love of art, having a laugh, and helping people realise that they can pick up a brush and surprise themselves—it was a perfect fit.

Now, I call the Netherlands home. I moved to Venlo in 2025 for love, and I'm figuring out how to build my dream here. With no studio (yet) to call my own, I've started offering mobile paint-and-sip events locally and taking on custom acrylic commissions, creating fine art portraits and personal pieces. I also have the pleasure of visiting local Venlo schools to lead specialized art workshops.

Whether I’m guiding a room full of beginners through a paint session, teaching in a classroom, or working quietly on a private commission, my heart is always in the same place: sharing the freedom of painting and bringing a bit more color, creativity, and connection into people's lives.
